Dear colleagues, welcome to this site! In any case, it will be interesting and useful for your competence in fatigue of materials. It contains my thesis for "Doctor of Science" (D.Sc.), defended on November 14, 2011, on the topic

INTEGRATION OF DAMAGE DIFFERENTIALS (IDD)
FOR FATIGUE LIFE ASSESSMENT UNDER ANY LOADING

The thesis presents a new strategic research line revealed in the science of fatigue of materials.

This site in English existed earlier: http://www.freewebs.com/fatigue-life-integral. So I was making IDD known to many colleagues around the world (hundreds of visitors of the site were counted). But freewebs.com ceased to exist. Therefore I had to make this new site in English for IDD.
After the defense, the site was intended to continue to reflect what was happening with IDD through the navigation box on the top left, mainly through "News and Discussion". And "Volume II" which did not belong to the thesis, also reflects the process of continuing the work.
The thesis contains seven parts, as indicated in the navigation box on the left. Each part is a separate pdf-file. If you prefer, you can upload all the parts to your computer and assemble them into an electronic book. The entire thesis contains 353 pages, including 109 figures and 27 tables. The page numbering from 1 to 353 runs sequentially from the first to the last part. The pages of the seven files are double-sided and can be printed, as well, to form one paper book.
It is assumed that at least Voreword, Conclusion, Review of contributions (or Expanded review of contributions) will arouse your interest and you will continue reading. You could also look at More on the method. Summary (also Expanded summary) is available here. It was also published in English as a separate book (see "News and Discussions"). Here are also Publications on the thesis and European-style CV (valid until May 25, 2014).
If Fatigue of materials and IDD method do not interest you, please think of other colleagues of yours who would be interested. Please forward the http-link to them. In particular, doctorands would see here interesting and dissertable topics for their future theses. Even just updating and improving the IDD software would be dissertable. Indeed, the software I offer is old, written before 2011 in Fortran77, and is not applicable to modern computer systems.

Thank you for reading this. You can always contact me to express your opinions, remarks, questions, recommendations, proposals for cooperation, etc., which will be gratefully received.
       Stefanov
